Common Tactics Edit
The Kalakuta Gas Mortar usually use only as support for main ship weapons, for tactical use. Large green gas clouds from it do only small Piercing damage AoE damage, but effective slow enemy. Although damage to your own ship and allies from the clouds is not applied, a slowdown will still occur, so it should be used with caution. Damage and slowdown from clouds is stackable.
While canister detonate from direct hit, it also can be manual detonate with secondary fire button in flight. The slow velocity of the projectile allows us to simply guess the right moment for detonation, although at greater distances this can still be tricky. Hold secondary fire button before fire allow detonate it on minimum distance 60m, while direct hit don't have this limit.
Commonly Used Ammunition Edit
- Since damage applied to target every second while it cloud , multiple chance of applying more fire stacks happens, what can significantly supplement the damage.
- Increase size of gas cloud.
- Increase clip size to 3 rounds.
