Components ‣ Hull

The hull is a component that can be found on any airship, representing the permanent health of a ship. It is completely protected by the armor. As soon as the armor is destroyed, a ship takes permanent (non-repairable) damage. Once the hull health drops to zero the ship explodes and the other team gets a kill point (death match). The ship's hull health indicator is located on the bottom right corner of the screen.[1]

The armor is especially vulnerable to Explosive damage type. The hull value varies from ship to ship.

Red Tint Effect

The red tint effect as experienced on an almost destroyed airship.

Considering the hull's great importance in the combat system, it is important to note specific animations that occur at different times concerning the state of a ship's hull.

When the hull and armor values both drop below 50% of their combined health stats, the player's screen tints red. The closer to 0% the values are, the stronger the red tint becomes.
Pyramidion Third Stage

The starboard side of a Pyramidion with low hull health, as can be noticed by it's severely broken ship model.

Different ship models are used for different hull states to indicate permanent damage dealt to that ship. Each ship has 3 'stages'. A ship is first stage when it has between 2/3 and full permanent health, second stage when it has between 1/3 and 2/3 and third stage when it has between 0 and 1/3. Thus it is possible to tell the approximate health of an enemy ship.
